The success of breast reduction is determined by how much is left.
Breast reduction surgery that restores daily life, not just for cosmetic purposes.
Gigantomastia, characterized by breasts that are excessively large relative to one's body shape, often causes suffering that goes unnoticed by others. It can lead to difficulties in daily life, including physical discomfort such as neck and shoulder pain, mental stress caused by the stares of others, and physical imbalance resulting from the heavy breasts. Breast reduction surgery is not merely about becoming more beautiful; it is a procedure that restores one's ability to live a normal life.
Breast reduction surgery is recommended for the following people.
Vertical reduction mammoplasty
This method is used when there is not a very large amount of breast tissue to be removed and
the distance between the nipple and the inframammary fold is not too far.
We make an incision as designed and perform de-epithelialization around the areola.
Remove the necessary amount of skin and mammary gland tissue from below the areola and perform suction.
The remaining mammary gland tissue on both sides is gathered, and the skin is sutured.
The nipple is lifted upward, reduced, and the surrounding area is sutured. * A scar from the vertical incision remains but gradually fades.
Inverted T breast reduction mammoplasty
This method is used when there is a large amount of breast tissue to be removed and the distance between the nipple and the inframammary fold is long.
Make an "O" shaped incision along the line from the nipple to the inframammary fold.
Sagging mammary gland tissue and skin tissue are excised, the nipple position is adjusted, and fat and part of the mammary gland are removed.
The incision site is gathered and sutured.
We occasionally see unfortunate cases where many people seeking breast reduction say, "Please remove my breasts." The goal of the breast reduction surgery performed at Grace is to reduce the size to the desired level while achieving a beautiful result and minimizing scarring.
